The chef and restaurateur behind Puritan & Co., Puritan Oyster Bar, and more is opening a casual rotisserie chicken spot with Mediterranean flare not far from his Cambridge Crossing trio of businesses (the Lexington, Geppetto, and Café Beatrice). Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant will have a year-round indoor farmers market attached. The Stockyard offers a comfortable, tavern-style environment with a roaring fireplace.
The Palm is a well-known and highly-regarded chain founded in 1926, and it’s now part of Boston’s Financial District. Oliveira’s Steak House in Somerville is a casual Southeastern Brazilian-style churrascaria that has been slicing up meat since 2004. Founded in 1938, the restaurant has an old-school vibe and is an excellent choice if you’re seeking a no-frills atmosphere. From the filet mignon to the bone-in ribeye, every Stockyard steak comes with a flawlessly charred crust and juicy interior. From global, national, and local chains to entirely independent establishments, Boston is a meat lovers’ paradise.

The name of this Beacon Hill steakhouse is the first clue that the restaurant doesn’t take itself too seriously—save for how it masterfully makes a mean steak. The interior boasts a playful style, complete with funky black-and-white cow art that adorns the dining room walls. The kitchen churns out juicy, perfectly seared sirloins, ribeyes and filets. Classic steakhouse sides get a modern spin, like crisp onion rings coated in panko and parmesan. Each cut is served with bone marrow butter, a little dollop of savory paradise.
This restaurant features rodizio style churrasco, meaning endless meat served at your table. In addition to a self-serve buffet with various sides, Oliveira’s has 18 kinds of meat cooked on rotisseries ready to be brought to you. If all-you-can-eat isn’t your thing, you can also order off the menu and pay by the pound.
The restaurant couldn’t be closer to the water, which makes for some breathtaking ocean views. Don’t miss the third floor promenade deck which features “a four-season rooftop lounge with a retractable glass roof and walls for cocktails and bites.” From their outdoor rooftop lounge you can see the ocean, ships, and city line. Pizza and Pasta in Chelsea gets loads of acclaim for its irresistible Neapolitan-style pizzas. This Somerville expansion—located in the the former Eat at Jumbo’s space in Ball Square—allows fans to enjoy the pies more easily with easy Green Line access and a bit more seating, plus new menu items. For one, the original location’s popular salsiccia pizza (house-made fennel sausage with pickled cherry peppers) is a little bit different on the Somerville menu; plus, look for new pasta dishes, more salads, and various bruschetta options. Van Leeuwen is known for its creative (and sometimes weird!) flavors of rich, French-style ice cream (heavy on egg yolks, aside from its extensive selection of vegan options).
A national chain, Del Frisco's offers one of its most visually striking locations on Liberty Wharf in the Seaport District. The lengthy, varied menu is packed with USDA Prime beef and fresh seafood. The impressive wine list boasts over 1,500 selections from around the world. The 14,000-square-foot, 400-seat restaurant also offers a circular bar and lounge area, outdoor veranda and three distinctive private dining rooms.
